About Me

About Me ....

Every since I can remember, I have loved horses. My mother has told me that when I was younger, I use to express how I felt God made a mistake, making me a little girl instead of a horse.......I would've been much happier as a horse! From playing to drawing, to collecting models of them....my childhood love for horses only grew stronger into adulthood.

I received my first Breyer model in 1996, when I was 11 years old. It was BREYER Model #919 Donovan, a grey color blanket Appaloosa in the running Black Beauty mold. After that, things took off from there and I currently own over 300 original finish Breyer models; of which half are Stablemates.

Only recently have I discovered the art of customizing the models myself. It’s time consuming yet it all pays off in the end.

I also enjoy other arts and hobbies such as drawing, creating equine graphics and logos, sculpting equine figures, shopping for fashion clothes and plenty more!!

  • On the flip-side of the model horse world, I help my family run a small breeding operation were we raise and sell registered APHA and AQHA horses. I also do most of the bookwork and help select the stock. I personally have four of the horses listed in my name, the rest of which belong to my parents.

About the studio....

I started this studio, back in January or February 2005 and have come a long way in a short time for a beginner. I've pretty much taught myself. I learned quick from photos of other customs, taken tips from magazines and have picked up on a lot of ways to keep improving on my current customs.

Prior to June 2005, I had only been working with black and white colours and patterns, strictly in acrylics. Since then, I've been mixing other media (pastels, colored pencils, etc.) with the acrylics to help "bring my customs more to life". The difference is AMAZING!

Please have a look at my work on the 'Customs' and even the 'Sneak Previews' pages to see the few of the MANY customs I've created. Enjoy!!
